Bhuvneshwari Temples in World



Several temples and shrines are dedicated for Goddess Bhuvaneswari all over the world in places

This article is a compilation of such various temples for this Mother Goddess.
1. Sri Bhuvaneswari Temple, Judge Swamigal Adistanam at Pudukottai where Goddess Bhuvaneswari is the main deity. Founder of this temple is Sadguru Srimath Shantananda Swamigal who is regarded as Goddess Bhuvaneswari.
2. In Chennai Om Sri Skandasramam, at Selaiyur, Tambaram, Chennai the main deity is Goddess Bhuvaneswari apart from Lord Muruga, Lord Sarabeswarar and Goddess Pratyangira Devi. Founder of this temple is Sadguru Srimath Shantananda Swamigal. www.skandasramam.org
3. Sri Bhuvaneswari Temple, Adambakkam, Chennai. Founder of this temple is Sadguru Srimath Shantananda Swamigal.

4. In Assam near Guwahati situated on the Neelachala Parvat or Hill there is a temple for Bhuvaneswari, Tara, Bhairavi and Ghantakarna apart from the Kamakhya temple which is one of the Shakti Peetams.
5. Sri Bhuvaneswari Temple in Bharatidasan colony, KK Nagar, Chennai.
6. Sri Bhuvaneswari Hindu Temple, Toronto, Canada.
7. Sri Bhuvaneswari Navagraha Temple, Chinmaya Mission Complex, Trichur.
8. Chengannur Bhagavathi in Kerala is supposed to be Goddess Bhuvaneswari.
9. The Dhandayudapani Temple in Palani has a shrine for Goddess Bhuvaneswari and pujas are offered to goddess Bhuvaneswari, Maragatha Lingam, Navadurga. These deities were worshipped by Bhogar who was a Siddhar.
10. Virupaksha Temple in Hampi the oldest temple in Hampi built in the 15th century has shrines for Lord Siva, Goddess Bhuvaneswari and Pampa.
11. In Udaipur there is a shrine for Goddess Bhuvaneswari fifty-five km south of Agartala which is the state capital of Tripura. This temple is located in the northern side of the River gomati and is said to have been built during the 17th cent during the reign of Maharaja Govinda Manikya near the royal p[alacve.
12. Chandannaga is located at a distance of 37 km from Calcutta and this town lies on the banks of the Hooghly River. There is a Devi Bhuvaneswari temple here.

13. There is a Bhuvaneswari Temple in the Kotilingala Ghat, Adilabad District, Andra Pradesh.
14. In the Mysore Palace Bhuvaneswari Temple is situated in the Northern side of the Palace Fort while in the South is located the Varahaswamy temple. Jayachamaraja Wodeyar built the Bhuvaneswari Temple in 1951 in the Dravidian style and it is said that Shilpi Siddalingaswamy who is Mysore’s famous sculptor carved the main idol of Bhuvaneswari.
15. In Ambattur, Chennai inside the Mounaswami Matam there is a temple for Bhuvaneswari.
16. The very famous Neduva Veerarayan Pazhayatheru Sree Mahaganapathi temple is situated in Parappanangadi, which is 1Km away from the railway station to the north. The main idol is Lord Mahaganapathi and also the five Bhagavathis – Valiya Vaalpurathu Bhagavathi, Cheriya Vaalpurathu Bhagavathi, Arayal Chulli Bhagavathi, Sree Kurumba Bhagavathi and Narothi Amma known as Bhuvaneswari.This Ganapathi temple is 1500 years old and is said to be the one and only Ganapathi temple in parappanangadi.
17. Sri Bhuvaneswari Temple in S. S. Colony, Madurai.

18. Temple of Bhuvaneswari in Bhillawadi on the eastern bank of Krishna river.
19. In Mandarakuppam (Neyveli 2km) there is a famous temple for Goddess Bhuvaneswari.
20. There is a sannadhi for Bhuvaneswari in the London Sri Murugan Temple, East Ham.
21. The main deity is Goddess Bhuvaneswari in the Sri Bharadwaj Ashram, Sri Yohamaya Bhuvaneswari Peetam which is situated in Ambattur, Red Hills Road in Chennai.
22. There is a separate shrine for Goddess Bhuvaneswari in the Thazhakara Shree Subramanya Swami temple in Mavelikkara in Alappey dist in Kerala which is 3 km east of Mavelikkara though the main deity is Lord Murugan.
23.There is a separate shrine for Goddess Bhuvaneswari in Michigan in the Parashakti Temple in West Kennett Pontiac, USA

25. In the Marathakkara Kalari Temple which is a village situated ten kilometers away from Thrissur, there is a separate shrine for Goddess Bhuvaneswari
26. In the Saradamba Temple in Sringeri located amidst the Sahyadri hills in Chikmaglur district of Karnataka on the left bank of the river Tungabhadra there are shrines dedicated to Shakti Ganapati and Bhuvaneswari.
27. There is a Bhuvaneswari temple at Bhuvanagiri of Siddapur.
28. There is a Sri Bhuvaneswari temple in Kovvuru in the East Godavari Dist, Andra Pradesh.
29. In the Sri Lakshmi Ganapathy temple also known as Vaidica Vidhya Ganapathi Center in Northern California at San Jose there is a separate shrine doe this goddess.
30. The Akapparambu kalari situated at Kariad – Akapparambu, in Ernakulam Dist, Kerala there is a separate sannadhi for Goddess Bhuvaneswari.
31. Temple of Shri Bhuvaneshwari is situated in western India in Saurashtra at Gondal.

32. The temple at Nittur situated in Gubbi taluk of Tumkur district which is a Jain temple built in the year 1175 A.D, idol of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari is seen.
33. In Nepal there is a temple for Goddess Bhuvaneswari
34. In Coimbatore Bharati Nagar there is temple for Goddess Bhuvaneswari.
35. At Yadgiri in Gulbarga Dist there is a big Fort built on a steep rocky hill. On this is seen a Bhuvaneshwari Temple.
